Just a quick note to let everyone know that the Memorial Site will be closing down soon. It costs to keep it up and unfortunately at this time I can no longer afford to keep paying to keep it up.
I will keep this blog going indefinitely though, so we'll always have a place for Chris...

A Request
I have a request to anyone who might have any items of clothing that belonged to Chris. His sister Trina is having a quilt made out of pieces of Chris' clothes. She is planning on giving it to her son as a memento of his Uncle Chris. Chris was very fond of his nephew, so this would be a very special gift for him. If you have, or know of anyone who has, any clothes that Chris may have left at your home or whatever, and you are willing to part with them, please contact me so I can let Trina know...
Thanks in advance for anyone who might be able to help with this request.

A Sign From Above
This morning as I was walking to my mailbox, I stopped and took a look into the sky. I was talking to Chris when I said "If you are up there and everything is okay, please just give me a sign".
Not even 2 seconds after I said it, one of those Blue Angel jets suddenly flew over me out of nowhere. At that moment I got a smile and the tears started rolling. It sure made me feel better and helped me to feel a little peace...

Never Say Goodbye
What do I say, I still can't believe he is gone. I am in total shock and disbelieve, and the manner in which Chris passed away, makes it that much more hard to believe.
I somehow feel that Chris is here. I feel his presence every day. And although I know he physically may not be here, he is here in my heart everyday.
Chris will always live on in our hearts, and I don't think I can ever say "goodbye"...

VANDERBILT
— Police and firefighters were called to a rural Vanderbilt home to investigate a fatal fire and possible gunshots.
Authorities arrived just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the fully engulfed home on Whitehouse Trail, near Whitmarsh Road in Otsego County's Corwith Township. The sound of gunfire may have been ammunition set off by the heat of the fire, police said.
One body was discovered in the burned home, about six miles east of Vanderbilt.
Officials do not yet know the identity of the victim, cause of death or what ignited the fatal fire. The incident remains under investigation.
